Packaging manufacturer performance improves with PlantRun
Northern Paper Board is one of the largest stockists and manufacturers of boxes in the UK, offering solid board and corrugated solutions primarily to the food processing industry.The company has invested in a PlantRun OEE system for manufacturing improvement at their site at Skipton, UK. PlantRun was chosen over an upgrade of a legacy LED signage board system.
Print Industry
Printcraft of Shipley, West Yorkshire, manufactures greetings cards and is part of Card Factory group of companies.In order to supply demand to over 700 Card Factory retail outlets the Printcraft production runs 24 hours a day. A PlantRun system was chosen in order to improve efficiency and maximize capacity.
Within 2 weeks of installation the company reported a 26% reduction in lost machine availability due to staff taking extended break periods.
The range of assets monitored includes SBL 1050SEF Foiler, Kora packaging machines, Stahl folder, guillotine, Bobst 106 die cutter, KBA and Heidelberg printing presses.

As a result of a management push for improved production efficiency PlantRun was chosen to monitor eighteen assets for run time, metres produced and speed.
