OEE Production Monitoring for Healthcare Manufacturer

IVC Brunel Healthcare are the UK's leading manufacturer of vitamins, minerals and nutritional supplements.

The company specialises in private label and contract manufacture from a modern, purpose built development and production facility in Derbyshire, Central England.

A PlantRun system has been implemented across the production facility to monitor fifteen assets including bottle and blister packing lines and compression and soft gel machines.

The system has replaced wasteful manual data collection with accurate live performance data that can be viewed on office PC’s and large screen displays in the production area.

Outstations in stainless steel enclosures allow staff to interact with the system at the line or machine. Barcode scanners make it easy to select products to be run from several thousand SKU’s.

Target cycle time linked to each SKU allows the system to alert when production is running slow and prompt for the reason for slow running to be selected.

In a similar way any scrap can be entered and the reason for it can be captured.

Display Node hardware was also supplied to enable any KPI’s from the system to be displayed on large screen TVs at strategic locations.
