Betafence logoBetafence, world market leader in fencing solutions, have recently invested in a Plantrun downtime monitoring system for the wire drawing facility at their manufacturing site in Sheffield, UK.

The system monitors 16 wire drawing machines and continuously records the run/stop status of each machine into a shift based database. Reports can be generated from this data for individual shifts, days, weeks months etc. 

The system also provides a range of facilities including interactive management displays of the machines and machine area and real time and historic trend graphs. Information provided by the system can be accessed remotely, wherever it is needed.

The new system is in addition to a similar system that has been used on site for many years to monitor welded mesh fabrication machines.
